Boy Scouts of America’s 16-hour Wilderness First Aid Curriculum

Based on the Boy Scouts of America’s 16-hour Wilderness First Aid Curriculum, the course is offered through the Emergency Care and Safety Institute’s Istrouma Area Council Educational Center and supported by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Emergency Room Physicians, and the Wilderness Medical Society. The course meets BSA’s Health & Safety requirements for participating in high adventure activities. Location: Paul Perkins Lodge, Tigator Lake Avondale Scout Reservation 14433 LA Hwy. 10 Clinton, LA 70722 Cost: $60.00 per person includes Wilderness First Aid Guide, snacks, lunches, and overnight camping for those needing accommodations.
